Hey there, I am the new owner. It's a sweet little commuter, I'm adding some mudguards for the wet in Michigan, but otherwise it's set up just right. A friend is trying to convince me to start cyclocrossing it, which I may just do. These old Bridgestones are just awesome bikes, so very versatile.
Ask and ye shall receive. I've done considerably more tinkering with it than it needed, but I had the parts laying around and why not?
I've changed the stem to be a bit shorter reach and higher bar position, installed new mudguards, and swapped out the Cantis for some nicer ones I had on hand. I actually swapped the bars out for the Nitto Moustache bar too, since I had that already. The Origin8 bars are identical, I can say. Anyway, here's a link:

Thanks!
It's good to hear that you are enjoying the bike. I try to build the best bike I can, at a reasonable price.
I think that it would make a sweet crosser, with some knobbier tires. Be sure and let me know if you do end up racing it (and send pictures).
For that matter, send pictures when you get the mudguards installed. I like to see how the bikes are faring, after they leave here.
